Professional Development
The Professional Development Committee of the Rochester Chapter International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) provides chapter members with information and opportunities to improve their knowledge and career mobility in the field of Business Analysis.
The committee, under the direction of our VP Professional Development, assists chapter members in pursuing their goals in relation to the Certified Business Analysis ProfessionalTM (CBAP®) Exam.
Responsibilities of the committee include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring members are aware of what a CBAP® certification can provide them
- Arranging IIBA Endorsed Education Provider training and seminars to assist members in preparing for the CBAP® exam
- Providing CBAP® study materials to individuals preparing for the exam
- Organizing CBAP® study groups to review BABOK material and prepare for the exam
- Consulting with the IIBA® and other chapters for direction relating to professional development and certification
- Working with local learning institutions to promote and offer courses in Business Analysis
- Working with the Programs Committee to organize speakers and topics that will provide development opportunities for chapter members
- Communicating all Business Analysis professional development opportunities as well as future changes to the BABOK®
- Working with other chapters and local testing centers to host and facilitate certification testing
- Assisting CBAP® certified members with maintaining their certification
